How Do I Transfer an Embroidery Design to My Machine?
The easiest way to transfer an embroidery design to your machine is usually to download the correct file format, copy it to a compatible USB drive, and insert the USB drive into your embroidery machine.
Download the Design
Download the embroidery design to your computer. If it comes in a ZIP folder, extract the ZIP folder first so you can access the actual embroidery file.
Choose the Correct File Format
Make sure you use the format your machine supports, such as PES, JEF, DST, EXP, HUS, PEC, VIP, VP3, or XXX. Check your machine's manual if you are not sure which format you need.
Copy the Design to a USB Drive
Insert a compatible USB drive into your computer and copy the embroidery file onto it. Some machines require the file to be placed in a specific folder, so check your machine's instructions.
Insert the USB Into Your Machine
Safely remove the USB drive from your computer and insert it into the embroidery machine. Turn the machine on if it is not already running.
Select the Design
Use your machine's screen to open the USB or external media menu. Find the embroidery design and select it. Your machine should display the design if the file format and size are compatible.
Check the Design Size
Before stitching, make sure the design fits your selected hoop and embroidery area. A machine may not display or load a design that is too large.
