What Embroidery Format Does the Brother Skitch PP1 Use?

The Brother Skitch PP1 uses the PES embroidery format. Choose the file ending in .pes when you download a design for this machine.

The Brother Skitch PP1 is an embroidery-only machine with a maximum embroidery area of 4 x 4 inches (100 x 100 mm). A design must fit inside that area to load, so pick the 4x4 size. The 5x7 and 6x10 sizes are too large for this machine.

To use a design on the Skitch PP1:

  1. Unzip the download on your phone, tablet or computer.
  2. Find the .pes file in the 4x4 size and save it where your phone or tablet can reach it.
  3. Open the Artspira app and import the file.
  4. Send the design from the app to the machine over the wireless connection.

The Skitch PP1 has no screen of its own and works only through Brother's Artspira app, so designs are sent from a phone or tablet instead of a USB drive.
