What Embroidery Format Does the Singer SE9180 Use?
The Singer SE9180 uses the FORMAT embroidery format. Choose the file ending in .ext when you download a design for this machine.
The Singer SE9180 is a sewing and embroidery combination machine with an embroidery area of 170 x 100 mm (about 6.7 x 3.9 inches) using the included hoop. Designs in the 4x4 size fit. The 5x7 and 6x10 sizes are too large for this machine.
To use a design on the SE9180:
- Unzip the download on your computer.
- Find the .ext file in the 4x4 size.
- Copy it to a USB flash drive, or send it to the machine over WiFi.
- Select the design on the machine's screen.
The SE9180 has built-in WiFi for sending designs wirelessly, and it also accepts designs by USB.
The embroidery field is 100 mm on its short side, which is the same as a 4x4 design at full size. If a 4x4 design is refused, read why a 4x4 embroidery design is too big for the hoop.
