What Embroidery Format Does the Bernette 79 Use?

The Bernette 79 uses the EXP embroidery format, and it also reads PES, JEF, VP3, VIP, HUS, PEC and DST files. Any of those files from your download will work on this machine.

The Bernette 79 is a sewing and embroidery combination machine with a maximum embroidery area of 6 x 10 inches (160 x 260 mm). Designs in 4x4, 5x7 and 6x10 sizes all fit.

To use a design on the Bernette 79:

  1. Unzip the download on your computer.
  2. Find the file in the format you want, in the 4x4, 5x7 or 6x10 size.
  3. Copy it to a USB flash drive.
  4. Plug the drive into the machine and select the design on the screen.

The Bernette 79 loads designs from a USB flash drive. It has the same embroidery features as the Bernette 70 DECO, with sewing functions added.

EXP and DST files don't store thread colors, so a design may appear in unexpected colors on screen. Choose the PES, JEF or VP3 file if you want the colors to show, or follow the color chart that came with the design.
