What Embroidery Format Does the Janome Memory Craft 9850 Use?
The Janome Memory Craft 9850 uses the JEF embroidery format. Choose the file ending in .jef when you download a design for this machine.
The Janome Memory Craft 9850 is a sewing and embroidery combination machine with a maximum embroidery area of 6.7 x 7.9 inches (170 x 200 mm). Designs in 4x4 and 5x7 sizes fit. The 6x10 size is too large for this machine.
To use a design on the Memory Craft 9850:
- Unzip the download on your computer.
- Find the .jef file in the 4x4 or 5x7 size.
- Copy it to a USB flash drive.
- Plug the drive into the machine and select the design on the screen.
The Memory Craft 9850 loads designs from a USB flash drive.
Janome machines look for designs in a specific folder on the USB drive. If your design doesn't appear, check your manual for where to place the file.
