What Embroidery Format Does the Poolin EOC05 Use?

The Poolin EOC05 uses the DST embroidery format. Choose the file ending in .dst when you download a design for this machine.

The Poolin EOC05 is an embroidery-only machine with a maximum embroidery area of 4 x 9.25 inches (about 100 x 235 mm). It comes with a 4 x 4 inch hoop and a 4 x 9.25 inch hoop.

The embroidery area is long and narrow, which matters when you choose a design size. Designs in the 4x4 size fit. The 5x7 and 6x10 sizes are too wide for this machine, because the field is only 4 inches across.

To use a design on the EOC05:

  1. Unzip the download on your computer.
  2. Find the .dst file in the 4x4 size.
  3. Copy it to a USB flash drive.
  4. Plug the drive into the machine and select the design on the screen.

The EOC05 loads designs from a USB flash drive. Newer versions of the machine also have WiFi for sending designs without a drive.

DST files don't store thread colors. They only record where each color change happens, so the design may appear in unexpected colors on the machine's screen. The design is fine. Follow the color chart that came with it and thread each color in order.
